A Tree Blooms in Camarillo

As a girl I would surprise neighbors by leaving a hand-picked bouquet on their porch to celebrate May 1.  This flowering tree is one I have noticed every year in Camarillo, California, near the same time. 

Spring Has Sprung

Spring comes early in Malibu. I confess to have purchased these spectacular daffodils, though I do have freesia blooming.

Mr. Murdock's Orchids

In the conservatory, at the end of the allee of nature-sculptured boulders at Ventura Farms in Thousand Oaks, are these orchids. I took so many photos of the gorgeous flowers that it was impossible to pick favorites. Finally, I share with you these four photos, of the beautiful spot.
