 Fritz Scholder's, oil on canvas, created in 1966 is entitled NEW MEXICO NO. 40

Tom Haney's automated sculptures are entitled THE USUAL SUSPECTS 

Offered by a Shanghai gallery, these sculptures are called HORSE and were created in 2012 by Zhao Kun

When entering the exhibit I was startled and then delighted.  My motion had activated the room- sized sculpture to start moving.

"AVEDON: Women"

This powerful exhibition of photographs can be viewed through December 21, 2013 at http://www.gagosian.com/.  Most of the more than 100 gelatin prints were editioned and printed during his lifetime.  Seeing it is a special and rare opportunity.  

Jeffrey Gibson Exhibit at Bergamont Station

 The beat of the  American Indian culture is immediately felt when entering the exhibit.  This becomes clear when learning that Jeffrey Gibson is a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians and half Cherokee.  These gorgeous abstracts are painted on deer hide and are faceted in every way.  They sing like brilliant jewels.

Herb Alpert's Sculpture

Los Angeles Antiques, Art & Design Show

Upon entering this show, it is obvious the air is rarefied. It is no wonder this is heralded as one of the premiere fairs in the United States.  Small and carefully selected---until everything there seems the most exquisite.  

 The show continues through this weekend, ending on Sunday.  It is located at 3Labs, 8461 Warner Drive, Culver City, CA 90232.
